What are the various recruiter strategies for handling last-minute Chaos?
Kindly eloborate the necessary skills/techniques/strategies, a recruiter should possess to overcome employer’s/ interviewer’s chaos, during a last-minute dissolution/mishap?
(for eg: Let’s consider a case where a candidate has been cleared through for the final f2f discussion for a well organized mnc firm.
Scenario : Suddenly, without any prior notice the interview panels are not available on the premises/out for some reasons, maybe personal too .So the candidate was made to wait for around 2 hours at the office reception, without even having a initial level of discussion and now being over 2 hours, the candidate is trying to reach the desired recruiter who had the due responsibility to take care of the things from their end proactively, but uneventually the recruiter was on a comp -off and had no idea on his works/schedules on the day. This probably let the candidate down to have a very bad experience and on this situation, (for eg.Q) .What should a recruiter do to make the candidate warm/connected with the panelist perfectly?
Also, especially on the day of interview where panels could be unusually occupied with something or the other & may not be reached/accessed at the moment /occupied at their schedules. ,Could be commonly witnessed in most of the recruiters/candidate’s professional life cycle.
It would be great to get through various perspectives/idea’s/strategies to overcome these kinds of mishaps..
Please share your thoughts together with a day to day example, so that our fellow monks would be benefited more wisely!!
