Coming to the answer, as far as I know, there is no such thing like qualification (with respect to Degree Only) for doing Recruitment. Recruitment is always an art, an art doesn’t need degree. Degree is just to give you a qualification and cannot assure the artistic nature within you. What degree that Dirubhai Ambani had? and where he managed a huge number of people within his company, What degree that JRD Tata had? and where he created a history in Indian Industrial Sector and proclaimed to be “Father of Indian Civil Aviation” It’s always your interest and observation while pursuing any career or interest. Hence there is no requirement of Graduation to become Recruiter. I believe that I answered upto my knowledge. I wish you all the best. We are in a period wherein the concept of degree is just changing so rapidly and with top companies like Google & others hiring non degree holders, even Zoho for that matter in an Indian context. Degree is just a piece of paper which doesnt justify anyone’s skills. In today’s era its all about how quickly you adapt to a skill and apply it to the business world is what counts. In one of the companies I had worked with, there was a candidate (without degree) who had joined as a typist initially, he turned out to be a rockstar recruiter when he got an opportunity to do recruiting. Today, he is with one of the best product firms as a TA. Personally, I have placed candidates in HR (Tech recruiter roles) Industry, those who do not have a degree. Having good comm skills & ability to quickly grasp is what I look for before training & placing them in HR roles. 4 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Yaswanth LoHaR Bangalore, India 4 Questions 1 Answer 0 Best Answers 15 Points View Profile yaswanth6999 Replied to answer on 02/10/19 at 1:40 am The answer & the way of your explanation, both the things boosted my self confidence. I have a different perspective. If we as recruiters need to be respected as professionals, like a doctor, lawyer or Chartered accountant – there are three points we need to meet. ( Great book by Subroto Bagchi, founder Mindtree) These are the ability to work unsupervised, the ability to certify the completion of a job or task and, finally, the ability to behave with integrity at all times. I also highly recommend this article which explains what is expected of Recruiters! Neither of these writers allude to , a degree but when we aspire to be the best, it is better to set our eyes go beyond the minimum accepted norms!,Right:)!? 2 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp You must login to answer this question.
